Punctuality At School:

We expect all pupils and students to be in school by 7:00am.  Please help the children get to school on time.  The school gate will be locked at 7.55am; any pupil/student who comes after the stated time will not be allowed into the school premises.  However, if for any reason your child will be late or absent, call the principal, vice principal or the headmistress on the following numbers: 07031339702, 08066597169 or 08036211710 before the time.

Hair Styles

This is to remind parents that the use of artificial extensions on pupils and students’ hair is strictly forbidden.  We want our children to look like school children.  Girls must have their  hairplaited, braided nicely or cut low for easy management; boys must also have their hair cut low.  Fanciful and designer haircuts are not allowed.

Uniforms/Footwear

This is also to remind you that the correct uniforms purchased in the school must be worn; those of them that have overgrown their wears should get new ones please.  We have also introduced joggers to their sport wear, interested parents can visit the school for it.  Also be reminded that only low-heeled black shoes socks (not canvas) with white socks should be worn with the school uniforms and white canvas with PE wear are allowed; multi-coloured socks, and sandals are not allowed.

Clubs

The school clubs are functioning effectively and our children are learning with fun.  You are reminded that each child is required to belong to at least one of the clubs.  Also, be aware excursion trip is club based.

School Fees

We enjoin our esteemed parents who are yet to settle bills for last term to kindly do so before resumption.  Also, payment for the new term should be made before resumption.  We expect tellers at the gate on first day of resumption

Parents’ Teachers’ Association

On behalf of the P.T.A. Chairman, I sincerely apologize for the inability to hold the meeting of the association last year.  We are very optimistic that the meeting will take place on the Thursday 9th April, 2020 which is also the closing date.

Meeting With SS3 Parents

This is to inform you that a meeting of SS3 parents with Management has been arranged to hold on Wednesday 13th January, 2020. We expect all parents to be in attendance as issues regarding their progress in school shall be discussed.

Theme For The Term

The theme for the term is still focused on Building good character for a better tomorrow.  This will be maintained for the session until we get the best result.

Use Of Standard English

We have observed that the use of pidgin English amongst our pupils/students is increasing at an alarming rate; most times students/pupils engage themselves in conversation  using the pidgin English.  This is shocking and has began to  affects their spoken and written English.  We have taken drastic measures to stop this practice.  Therefore, we call on parents to please cooperate with us when they are at home; they should be discouraged from speaking in Pidgin English.

Assessment

This is to remind you and also emphasize that our pass mark has been changed from 50% to 60%.  This is to ensure all students aim higher than the pass mark and perform better especially at external examinations.

Conclusion

I welcome you once again to this new term and pray that we have a successful term.  God bless you.
